Jadon Sancho 'considered for Dortmund loan' and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering a loan move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

The 23-year-old arrived at Old Trafford for €85m (£72.6m) in the summer of 2021 from the German club. However, he has yet to reach the heights which earned him his move from the Bundesliga.

Currently, Sancho has 12 goals and six assists to his name from 79 appearances. Last season, the England international took time away from football and social media to focus on his mental health and performances.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Sancho is held in particularly high regard at the Bundesliga club. So much so, they would consider a straight loan or a loan with a low option to buy. While Dortmund are keen, it is understood Sancho wants to remain at United and fight for his place in Erik ten Hag's set-up.

Elsewhere, Atalanta are reportedly on the verge of signing a replacement for striker Rasmus Hojlund. MEN Sport understands director John Murtough has been in extensive negotiations with the 20-year-old over a switch to United this summer.

The Dane scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Serie A side last year and is highly regarded in Italy. According to L’Equipe, Atalanta are already look into life without Hojlund and are on the verge of signing Almeria's El Bilal Toure.

United currently see Hojlund as their priority option up front after ruling out a move for Harry Kane due to Tottenham Hotspur's reluctance to sell. The Manchester Evening News also understands Atalanta have an interest in signing Mason Greenwood on loan this summer too.
