Jade Goody's son Bobby explains poignant reason why he doesn't miss his mum

Jade Goody 's eldest child has shared the poignant reason he doesn't miss his late mother.

Bobby and Freddie Brazier were just five and four when their mum Jade died from cervical cancer at the age of 27 in 2009.

Now 18, Bobby, whose dad is former Shipwrecked star Jeff Brazier, has heartbreakingly explained how the iconic Big Brother star's public persona is all he has left of his beloved mother.

"I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on a mum. It’s normal life to me," the model confessed in a recent interview with The Face

"I’ve kind of spent more life without her than I did with her."

When asked if he "misses" Jade, the teenager poignantly replied: "I don’t. Because I don’t feel like I was with her long enough to miss her."

Bobby went on to explain to the publication how he feels Jade and his family were dealt an "unfair" hand.

“I miss what could’ve been. I hear all the time she was such a presence, that she was one of a kind," he mused. "What hurts most is that it wasn’t just losing anyone, it was losing Jade."

He heartbreakingly added: "I just would’ve loved to have seen what other people had seen."

Bobby, who lives with dad Jeff, stepmum Kate Dwyer and younger brother Freddie, is currently weighing up whether to enter the world of celebrity as his modelling career begins to take off.

The teenager - who bears a striking resemblance to his late mother - has posed for major brands, like Dolce and Gabbana, and is a rising star in the industry.

Jade and Jeff welcomed Bobby into the world together back in June 2003 - just 12 months after the late pop culture icon found fame in the Big Brother house at the age of 21.

The on-off couple went on to have another son, Freddie, before going their separate ways in 2004.

Following an inspiring battle again cervical cancer, Jade sadly passed away on 22 March 2009, which rather poignantly was also Mother's Day.

Jade had been taking part in the Indian version of the reality TV show when she got a call from her consultant and was told she had cancer - having previously experienced symptoms such as blood loss and pains in her leg.

After flying straight back to the UK, Jade was given the devastating news that she had been suffering from cancer for the last two years and her tangerine-sized tumour had destroyed more than half of her womb.

Prior to her death, the Bermondsey-born star was determined to earn as much money as possible for her two young sons and their future - working right up until her death, securing TV interviews, pictures and her own reality show.
