Jada Pinkett Smith's reaction to Will Smith Oscars slap in unseen footage

Jada Pinkett Smith's reaction to the Oscars drama is being seen from a different angle.

Unseen footage of the shocking moment Will Smith took to the Dolby Theatre stage to slap Chris Rock has been unearthed.

Fresh Prince star Will has been the number one subject of discussion since he smacked the Oscars host on Sunday night.

And that's not because of his Best Actor gong for King Richard, which he picked up just moments later.

It is, of course, because of his reaction to Rock's 'GI Jane 2' jibe about his wife, who suffers from alopecia.

A new clip has been uploaded to Twitter which shows Jada's surprise reaction for the first time.

The video is taken from an unknown location, reports the Mirror, and is behind Will and Jada’s front row table.

It begins as Will returned from the stage following the violent altercation.

As the rest of the audience is stunned into silence following the Men In Black star’s angry outburst, The Matrix actress can be seen laughing.

She appears to lean forward and laugh as Chris responded to the assault, as he told the Hollywood A-listers watching: “Will Smith just smacked the sh*t out of me.”

Jada continued to watch the comedian as husband Will sat back down in his seat, and laughed for a second time as Chris said it was “the greatest night in the history of television”.

The star also kept a dignified silence as Will shouted repeatedly to the comedian on stage: “Keep my wife's name out of your f*****g mouth.”

It’s not known who captured the footage of Jada’s reaction, or who subsequently shared the clip on social media.

After the assault, which Chris Rock is not pressing charges over, Will apologised to his fellow nominees and the Academy.

A day later, the dad-of-three issues a public apology to Get Hard star Rock.

“I would like to publicly apologise to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness," he said.

While Chris has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident, Jada has broken her silence on the controversial incident, and shared a brief post on Instagram which read: “This is a season for healing and I'm here for it.”

Chris Rock broke his silence on Wednesday night.

The comic was performing at his sold-out comedy gig in Boston on Wednesday night and fans had been waiting to see if he mentioned the dramatic incident.

Rock said he was "still processing" what had happened.

Dressed in white, the Get Hard star took to the Wilbur Theatre stage and said: "Sooooo, how was your weekend?!'

Rock was greeted with a standing ovation then continued: "Let me be all misty eyed and s***" and was reported to have tears in his eyes.

"I don't have a bunch of s*** to say about that, so if you came here for that..."
