Jacqueline Jossa suffering with 'mum guilt' as work keeps her away from kids

Jacqueline Jossa has been suffering with ‘mum guilt’ as work keeps her away from her two kids, a pal says.

The actress shares daughters Ella, seven, and three-year-old Mia with husband and former The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne.

Exciting new job opportunities mean she has had to go on work trips recently without the girls.

While she is enjoying having a career again after taking a couple of years out to be with her children, the ‘mum guilt’ is said to be starting to take its toll.

On Instagram Jac recently revealed how much she had missed being away from Ella and Mia.

Sharing a sweet snap of her little ones, 29-year-old Jac wrote: “I am back with my babies where I belong.

She added: “I missed them so much. I literally found this trip harder than usual.”

An insider told New magazine Jac has been experiencing the “typical mum guilt” many women feel when they go back to work.

The pal said: “She really wanted kids and wants to dedicate her life to them, so to be taken away because of work commitments is hard.

“She’s finding it a bit tough because Dan is home a lot so he’s getting all the best bits of the girls.

“Whereas when she goes away she’s missing out on the day-to-day life of being a mum. Everyone know she’s a great mum so to miss out is affecting her.”

While Jac has been away working, husband Dan, 30, who she has been married to for four years, has been stepping up and taking on more of a caring role.

The pal said he and the girls understand why she has to work so much and both he and Jac have spoken of how fickle fame can be.

During the pandemic, former reality TV star Dan was forced to close his tattoo shop over lockdown laws.

He said: “People assume that because you’ve been on TV once, you’re rich. No! I have to make a living as well.”

Since leaving TOWIE, Dan has become an Instagram influencer promoting products for brands online and offering his one million followers discounts.

Jac does the same, but since leaving EastEnders in 2018 and winning I’m A Celebrity the following year, she has gone on to launch a successful clothing line with In The Style.

Her celebrity range was said to have been the company’s most successful launch ever and reportedly earned her at least £500,000.

She has also set up her own hair and skincare brand, Nixie, and owns a performing arts business, EMJ Entertainments.

All this meant Jac and Dan were able to move into a six-bed Essex mansion worth £1.2 million.

Jac, who has since set up another Instagram account detailing her renovations called At Home With The Osbornes, has said she “never dreamed” of owning a house like that.
