New England Patriots veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett was hyped for rookie Drake Maye after the incredible touchdown pass he made to tight end Austin Hooper last week against the Indianapolis Colts.
Although the Patriots lost the contest, it was still an incredible play.
The pass itself was a dot over the head of Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin. Hooper snagged the ball from the air and carried it into the end zone for his third touchdown of the season.
The Patriots released a mic’d up video where a fired-up Brissett could be heard on the sidelines cheering on the cool, calm and collected rookie.
“Oh my god!” Brissett exclaimed.
“Nice catch, wasn’t it?” Maye responded.

The buzz surrounding Maye continues to grow by the day. He continues to impress everyone, including teammates, NFL analysts, fans and even opponents. On this particular day, he surprised a longtime veteran quarterback with plenty of experience at the NFL level.
