In recent news, actor Jacob Elordi finds himself entangled in a police investigation following an alleged altercation with a radio producer. Elordi, known for his roles in films such as 'Priscilla' and 'Saltburn,' has seen his star rise considerably in the entertainment industry. However, this particular incident has taken a disturbing turn.
The incident reportedly took place at a hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, where Elordi was spending time with friends. According to Joshua Fox, a producer on the popular radio series 'The Kyle and & Jackie O Show' on KIIS FM, things became heated when he asked Elordi for a peculiar favor. Fox requested some of the actor's bathwater as a birthday gift for his colleague Jackie O, referencing a NSFW viral scene involving Elordi in the film 'Saltburn' alongside Barry Keoghan.
When asked to stop filming, Elordi initially consented. However, when Fox refused to delete the footage, the situation escalated. Fox described the incident on the radio show, stating, 'I feel uncomfortable right now, and this is the only evidence.' Allegedly, Elordi became agitated and pushed Fox against a wall, placing his hands on his throat. Witnesses claim that the actor's two friends also joined in, getting closer to Fox's face and exhibiting aggressive behavior. The altercation only ended when one of Elordi's friends intervened and pulled him away.
Disturbed by the incident, Fox expressed his reluctance to delete the footage, as he felt intimidated by Elordi. The New South Wales Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway, stating that the man involved did not sustain any injuries.
These allegations come at a time when Elordi's career is rapidly flourishing. The actor has received critical acclaim for his performances in 'Priscilla' and 'Saltburn,' earning him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the BAFTA Film Awards, as well as the Rising Star Award. Elordi has also been busy with his role in the highly popular HBO series 'Euphoria,' as well as upcoming projects like Paul Schrader's 'Oh, Canada' and Guillermo del Toro's Netflix film, 'Dr. Frankenstein.'
At the time of writing, neither Elordi nor his representatives have responded to Fox's claims of assault. As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen how this incident will impact the actor's career and personal life.
