A Perth man accused of involvement in Australia's biggest public sector corruption case has pleaded not guilty.

Jacob Anthonisz is facing hundreds of charges related to the alleged siphoning of more than $20 million from Western Australia's Department of Communities.

It is alleged he was involved in a fake invoicing scheme with then high-ranking public servant Paul Whyte.

It is further alleged the funds were used for personal expenditure and a horse stud in New Zealand.

Mr Anthonisz, who was initially charged in late 2019, pleaded not guilty in Perth Magistrates Court this morning.

He is scheduled to appear in the Supreme Court in May.

His bail was continued.
