Too bad the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers won’t play in the 2025 regular season. It would have been a Sunshine State slobber knocker.
Why? Because the Buccaneers have to be upset that their offensive coordinator Liam Coen was officially named Jaguars head coach on Friday.
The AFC South team’s announcement came after Coen decided to return to Tampa Bay, only to rethink his decision when Jaguars team owner Shad Khan fired GM Trent Baalke.
Reports had Coen out of touch for much of Thursday. He was at a doctor’s appointment for a son at some point. It also has been reported he was in Jacksonville speaking to Khan.

Liam Coen’s wife Ashley weighed in via social media on those criticizing whether her husband was at the doctor with a child.
I hate that I even have to say this, but when people are negative about my kids, I will not be silent. Our son is sick, we were at the hospital yesterday seeing a specialist for his autoimmune disease. Please don’t spread misinformation and assume because you heard one side.
