Jack Whitehall’s model girlfriend has revealed that she has been in hospital with a mystery illness.
Roxy Horner, 29, originally from Essex, posted a picture of herself in hospital and said she was suffering from an unnamed autoimmune disease.
She captioned the photo: "Currently sitting in hospital not knowing to laugh or cry every 5 mins but I’m going to choose to try and laugh because life is too damn short."
She also posted an Instagram video with the caption: “Screw autoimmune diseases forever.”
Roxy was dressed in a medical gown with a cannula visible in her arm in the posts.
She confirmed that she would be in the hospital for another night.
It is unclear what is the exact condition that has meant that poor Roxy has had to be admitted for treatment.
There are a wide range of autoimmune diseases that can affect all parts of the body.
They occur when your body cannot tell the difference between a foreign cell and your own cells, and then mistakenly attack your normal cells.
Roxy’s fans posted their sympathy and lots of get-well-soon messages on her Instagram account.
The blonde model met comedian and actor Jack, 36, in Australia last year, and the couple moved in quickly together after just a few dates.
He admitted in a recent podcast that the coronavirus lockdown had been good for them.
Jack said: “'Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way.
"Then when lockdown ended, there's a lot of things we realised.
"We'd never gone to see a film together.
"We'd never been to a restaurant in England because we met in Australia.'
Roxy is Jack’s first serious girlfriend since he broke up with C4’s Humans star Gemma Chan in 2017, after six years together.
He confessed, before he met Roxy, that he’d had regrets about his split with Gemma, saying: "I f****d up. I could have got married but I messed it up."
