Jack Whitehall's girlfriend Roxy 'angry and frightened' about autoimmune disease

Jack Whitehall's girlfriend has opened up about her autoimmune disease, admitting it makes her "angry and frightened".

Roxy Horner, 29, took to her Instagram Stories to say she is "proud" of herself for the way she has been fighting through her illness.

Last week, the model was rushed to hospital but was discharged in time to be able to attend the BRITs, which comedian Jack, 32, was hosting, the following day.

In her post, Roxy shared a stunning selfie and wrote a long caption about her illness, sharing her sadness that she has to self-isolate away from her family to protect herself.

Roxy wrote: "Tonight is my first night alone living with my new way of life.

"I can't stop researching my auto immune disease, every bit of pain or sickness I feel, I worry.

"I feel like I can't quite get the hang go it, I'm angry, I'm frightened and I'm sad but I'm also so proud of myself for trying so hard."

She added: "Covid please go away so I can be with my family."

On Monday she had shared that she was in hospital and struggling to deal with the rollercoaster of emotions.

Roxy told her fans: "Currently sitting in hospital not knowing to laugh or cry every 5 mins but I’m going to choose to try and laugh because life is too damn short.

"Screw autoimmune diseases though!"

Roxy is yet to say which autoimmune disease she is suffering from.

They occur when the body confuses skin, joints, or organs as bacteria or viruses and attacks healthy cells.

It comes after Roxy told a fan that she refused to "put her life on hold" due to her autoimmune disease.

A fan had asked her if she was well enough to attend the BRITs, saying: "Are you sure you are ok to be out after being sick?"

She replied: "So many people live with autoimmune diseases and that's exactly what I intend to do too, I refuse to put my life on hold.

"I'm just getting the hang of it all right now but I am absolutely fine."

"Thank you for everyone's caring messages."

She added: "Also shoutout to the NHS. You guys are the sweetest, hardest working people I've ever met!"

Jack and Roxy met last year while the comedian was on a trip to Australia and they ended up isolating in London together.
