Former Hibs boss Jack Ross has been SACKED by Dundee United.
The one time Easter Road gaffer lasted just ten weeks in the Tannadice gig with Sunday's humiliating 9-0 hammering by Celtic the final straw for United chiefs. That drubbing comes after shipping seven goals against AZ Alkmaar, four vs Hearts and a further three in a clash with St Mirren before the Hoops showdown.
It's a dramatic turn of events for the former Alloa, St Mirren and Sunderland boss from the famous 1-0 win over the Dutch side in their Europa Conference League qualifying clash first leg. However, after picking up just one point in five league games with 18 goals conceded in those outings, the club have acted quickly to make a change.

The 46-year-old was named as Tam Courts' successor at the club on June 20 but United owner Mark Ogren is now on the lookout for replacement with Liam Fox named as interim boss.
A club statement read: "Dundee United can confirm head coach Jack Ross has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
"Liam Fox will take charge of the the first team on an interim basis with the focus now fully on Wednesday’s Premier Sports Cup match with Livingston. No further comment will be issued by Dundee United at this stage."
United are back in action tomorrow night as they travel to Livingston in the Premier Sports Cup last 16 with a quarter-final spot up for grabs at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
They then face Motherwell at Fir Park this coming weekend before hosting Dundee United the week after. It's then a trip to Ibrox to face Rangers before the latest international break.
