Former Hibs boss Jack Ross admits he was 'surprised" that he was in the cross hairs of his Easter Road successor Shaun Maloney.
Maloney claims the man he replaced was guilty of showing "disrespect" to his former club after he revealed he had spoken on several occasions to wanted Martin Boyle.
The Hibs star then sealed a money-spinning move to Al-Faisaly on Friday but the current boss admitted his predecessor's decision to go public was a bone of contention.
But Ross, speaking before Auchinleck vs Hearts responded to accusations of disrespect from his successor, he told the BBC: “I was surprised but not necessarily perturbed.
“I was an asked an opinion about a player who I had a lot of time for as a person and a player who we helped developed well.
“And ultimately he was sold the following morning so from my perspective each individual is entitled to their own interpretation of someone else’s opinion but not a big deal as far as I’m concerned and we move on."
