Quaid, who has previously voiced Superman in Adult Swim's 'My Adventures With Superman', received praise for his portrayal of the character in the animated series. However, he acknowledged that he may not have fit the physical requirements for the live-action role, which ultimately went to David Corenswet.
In an interview, Quaid expressed his admiration for Corenswet, describing him as a perfect fit for the role of Superman. Despite not landing the role himself, Quaid took the outcome in stride, stating, 'I put myself on tape, and it went nowhere, and that's fine.'
