Jack Nicholson has made a rare public appearance as he headed to a basketball game.
The Hollywood legend watched a playoff between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors at Crypto.com Arena.
The 86-year-old wore a slouchy black blazer, with black slacks, a black shirt and a pair of mini binoculars as he watched the game and engaged in conversation.
Although it's a rare appearance for the Hollywood star, he has been getting out recently to watch his favourite sport and a few weeks ago he was pictured at another Lakers game.
His recent sightings come after he was spotted looking worse for wear outside his Beverly Hills home. The recluse hadn't been pictured for 18 months and friends reportedly began to worry that the actor would die alone.
The Shining star appeared on his balcony with unbrushed hair that stood up and his usual unshaven look, while wearing a misshapen peach coloured t-shirt and baggy navy trousers.
He seemed to be enjoying the sound of nature as he sat on his balcony and took in the sunshine and at one point, the star of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was spotted peering up to the skies as a helicopter passed overhead.
His rugged appearance comes as sources claimed a number of his friends had feared he might die alone in a similar manner to his former next door neighbour and on-screen legend Marlon Brando.
The unnamed pal pleaded with Jack to at least leave his home so that people could see that he was well.
They told Radar Online at the time: "He's made it clear his home is his castle. But people just wish he'd come out of the house and pop up to tell them how — or at least reassure folks he's OK.
"Jack's in touch with certain relatives — especially Ray, his protégé, who he's so proud of — but his socialising days are long gone."
It's unclear whether Jack is currently in a relationship, with his most famous relationship with Angelica Houston ending almost 25 years ago.
He's also a dad of six but his estranged daughter claimed in January he wasn't interested in having a relationship with her.
Speaking to The Daily Beast at the time, Tessa said: "My mum wanted me to have a relationship with him, but he said he wasn’t interested. I was dealt a really s****y random card, but I’m not gonna let that destroy me."
