Manchester City star Jack Grealish revealed that he was “in a world of pain” after more than playing his part in the Sky Blues’ treble celebrations.
The former Aston Villa forward has been front and centre over the last few days with his antics since the Champions League final, keeping supporters entertained. Grealish appeared to enjoy one too many drinks over in Istanbul as he partied late into the night wearing his kit from the clash with Inter Milan.
That continued as City flew to Ibiza to continue their party before they then returned to the UK on Monday for their trophy parade in Manchester. Grealish continued to go viral for his antics, whilst he was also drenched in champagne by team-mate Erling Haaland.
The former summed up his experience over the past few days with a short statement on stage. He said: "Basically for the past 24 hours, I've had the best day and night. To be fair, I don't think I've slept. I'm the turkey and the turkey needs feeding,” before team-mate Kalvin Phillips poured vodka into his mouth.
He also got in touch with former Premier League star Jimmy Bullard, who has since opened up on the duo’s entertaining exchange. Speaking on talkSPORT, Bullard said: “I texted him earlier saying ‘Look, Jack, I’m coming on talkSPORT etc. I love you, good luck, how’s your three trophies going?’
“He texted back ‘wow, I’m in a world of pain’. What a legend! Brilliant. I love the boy and he’s unbelievable for English football.”

The former Hull City star then shared some slight concern for Grealish despite the celebrations that he has been enjoying over the past few days. He added: “I hope people don’t put him on a pedestal too much and then chop the legs off him.
“Let him be Jack, let him celebrate when he wants to celebrate. I just think do what you want Jack, he’s a young kid. You’ve got to realise how young they are. These are young football players who have got the world at their feet.”
Grealish needs to compose himself sooner rather than later. He is set to join up with the England squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League clashes with Malta and North Macedonia.
Speaking after the Champions League victory over Inter, he said: “I was awful today. I don’t care. To win the treble, with this group of players is so special. Anyone who knows me knows how much of a family person I am and how much I love football, and this is my whole life.”
