Jack Grealish sums up Man City draw against Nottingham Forest in one word

Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish was left 'gutted' at only coming away with a point at Nottingham Forest.

City were pegged back late on in what was Forest's only shot on target in the entire 90 minutes with Chris Wood netting his first goal for the club from the bench. Pep Guardiola's side, who saw title rivals Arsenal grab a dramatic late win at Aston Villa in the early kick-off, dominated for much of the 90 minutes at the City Ground and took the lead shortly before the break through a stunning Bernardo Silva strike.

The visitors should have been further ahead in the second half, with Erling Haaland spurning their best chances, including two in one passage of play. After Keylor Navas had failed to hold a shot, the ball broke to Haaland, whose volley into the ground struck the bar.

A goal looked inevitable, only for Haaland to incredibly smash it over the bar, to the disbelief of the City fans behind the goal. That proved to be a costly miss as the aforementioned Wood punished the big Norwegian with a late equaliser.

The result meant City missed the chance to move back above Arsenal into first place despite their 3-1 win at the Emirates on Wednesday night. Writing on Twitter after the game, Grealish could not hide his disappointment at failing to come away with three points.
