Jack Grealish hits back at claim he 'told Pep Guardiola where to go' vs West Ham

Jack Grealish has hit back at claims of a touchline falling out with Pep Guardiola during Manchester City's 2-0 win at West Ham on Sunday.

On Monday morning SPORTbible tweeted a couple of images of Grealish conversing with Guardiola during the opening few minutes of the game, accompanied by the caption: "Jack Grealish spotted telling Pep Guardiola where to go three minutes into Man City's win against West Ham."

Less than an hour later Grealish rubbished the claims, angrily pointing out that Guardiola was just giving him tactical instructions.

"F***** hell, everything you've just wrote did not happen. What a s*** irrelevant page! He was giving me tactical advice, ask him yourself if I said anything back to him."

SPORTbible soon deleted their original tweet and accompanying story, and Grealish deleted his reply.

The England star played the full 90 minutes of City's Premier League opener, with a debut brace from new Blues striker Erling Haaland earning three points and the headlines.

After the game, Guardiola praised Grealish for his role in City's second goal. His movement with the ball dragged some West Ham players out of position, allowing Rodri to find Kevin De Bruyne, who in turn found Haaland to double City's lead.

"The second goal was an incredible action for Jack [Grealish], the goal belongs to him, he keeps the ball, dragged opponents, finds the perfect ball to Rodri, this happens with space and then Kevin is difficult to stop," Guardiola said.
