Three Britons are through to the third round of the Canadian Open, following stunning victories for Jack Draper and Dan Evans.

The pair will join Cameron Norrie in the last-16, after Draper beat Stefanos Tsitsipas to claim his first victory over a top-10 player and Evans shocked eighth seed Andrey Rublev.

Draper, who came through qualifying to reach the main draw, fought back from a break down in the second set before wrapping up a stunning 7-5, 6-4 success against the third seed just before 1am in Montreal overnight.

World No8 Tsitsipas made 40 unforced errors, with his forehand particularly wayward.

Draper, the world No82, takes on 17th seed Gael Monfils today for a place in the quarter-finals.

Evans earned his fifth victory over a top-10 player by beating Russian Rublev, with the 32-year-old due to face Taylor Fritz, the No10 seed, in the last 16.

British No1 Norrie will take on hometown hero Felix Auger-Aliassime for the second time in a week, after he defeated Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets.

Norrie beat the Canadian on Saturday in the Abierto de Tenis Mifel semi-final but will have the crowd against him in their sixth head-to-head.
