Jack Clarke's agent has confirmed that he is happy at Sunderland but concedes "every player has a price" amid links with a transfer to Everton.
The Blues are bracing themselves for an important summer as they look to put the foundations in place to rectify the mistakes that have left them treading dangerously close to relegation. In back-to-back seasons, Evertonians have been forced to bite their nails going into the business end of the season hoping their team can survive the drop.
Clarke enjoyed a fruitful season at the Stadium of Light as the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster was in the Sunderland squad that reached the Championship play-offs. Although their promotion ultimately ended in disappointment, at the hands of eventual play-off winners Luton Town, the 22-year-old scored nine goals in 47 appearances, sparking speculation over a move to Merseyside.

On Monday, i news reported that Everton were among four Premier League clubs looking to twist the arm of Tony Mowbray's side and prise away the highly-rated winger.
Crystal Palace, Brentford and Burnley were also among the names mooted for the attacker as there were claims that offers up to £15m could prompt talks.
Ian Harte, Clarke's agent, revealed that the England Under-21 international is loving his time on Wearside but admitted that circumstances are out of his control.
"Jack loves it at Sunderland and he’s got three years left. Of course I can’t control what other clubs are going to do. If other clubs contact Sunderland that’s unfortunately out of my control," he told i news.
"I think every player, no matter what league you’re in, has a price and no matter what club you’re at if a club is happy with it they’ll take it.
"But top and bottom of it, I love going [to Sunderland]. I live locally and I also look after Niall Huggins who will hopefully kick on and have a really positive season next year and play games. We’ll just have to wait and see."
