Connacht fly-half Jack Carty is set to miss Ireland's summer tour of New Zealand after suffering a wrist injury.
Carty took to Instagram to share the news with his followers. Judging by the caption, his wrist may be injured but his sense of humour is still in tact.
"My face when I realise I’ll have to do lower limb weights all summer"
"Disappointed my season ends here but what a great opportunity to come back bigger and better next season."
The Connacht star has been in excellent form all season, with many considering him a good shout to be selected for the New Zealand tour.
Carty was expected to challenge for one of the four out-half slots. Now though, it seems likely that the four men heading on tour will be Johnny Sexton, Joey Carbery and the two Byrne brothers - Harry and Ross.
Ireland will kick-off their tour on June 29th when they take on the Māori All Blacks. Andy Farrell's men will then face the All-Blacks three times in July, with New Zealand eager to avenge their Aviva Stadium loss last Autumn.
