Jack Butland Rangers transfer to be 'completed today' after goalkeeper 'passes medical' to become third summer signing

Jack Butland has completed his medical and will be announced as a Rangers player imminently, according to one report.

Michael Beale has been on the lookout for new No. 1 with Allan McGregor leaving the club after 16 years across two spells and now Butland looks set to become the third summer recruit for the Ibrox side after Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said on Twitter: “Jack Butland has completed medical tests as new Rangers player today — done deal, contract agreed. Butland joins as free agent from #CPFC after Man United loan.” Palace had the option to extend the former England international’s contract but opted against taking that up and he left Selhurst Park following his Old Trafford loan stint.
