Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase appeared on the team’s injury report on Tuesday, listed with an ankle issue that classified him as a DNP.
That said, this was an estimated report at best. Tuesday was a light day (the first day of a normal week is usually Wednesday) since they’re on a short week before a Saturday game against the Vikings.
Had the Bengals practiced, Chase wouldn’t have been full-go. But they did hold a Tuesday walkthrough and the No. 1 wideout was there in a jersey, for what it’s worth, so perhaps the estimated DNP is being overly cautious. After all, outsiders closely eyeballing the team’s injury reports has created some drama this year already.
Elsewhere on the estimated report, wideout Tyler Boyd and corner DJ Turner were “limited” due to ankle issues.
Chase and others listed will be something to closely watch over the next two days of practice as things ramp up.
