Ja’Marr Chase had MRI on back injury, says he feels much better

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase revealed that he had an MRI on his sore back and that the results came back clean.

Speaking with reporters Thursday, Chase said his problematic lower back is merely bruised and felt much better, per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.

Chase wound up running routes against air after being unable to practice on Wednesday, which is a pretty good escalation of his chances to play Sunday against the Houston Texans.

The back issue is the result of a hard fall Chase took attempting to catch a deep pass from Joe Burrow during the Week 9 win over the Buffalo Bills.

The news comes on the heels of a report revealing that Tee Higgins won’t be able to play in Week 10 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in practice.
