Ja’Marr Chase got called to Zac Taylor’s office — for good reasons

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase recently went viral for his latest set of head-turning comments.

In short, after the loss that sent the team to 1-3, Chase said in a not-so-polite way that he’s always open. It was a small part of a much larger, well-said response, but only the cursing part went viral.

And it got him called into Zac Taylor’s office on Monday.

But not for what outsiders might think. Chase revealed the meeting with Taylor later in the week and laughed it off, saying that Taylor had nothing but nice things to say.

The summation, courtesy of Dan Hoard:

This does mesh well with Taylor’s vibe about the whole thing earlier in the week. Even then, Taylor had said he felt the Chase interview was a good form of leadership for its overall message — provided you took the time to actually watch the entire two-plus minutes of back and forth.

Despite what aggregated clips might suggest, things are just fine in Bengals land as the team collectively attempts to over the 1-3 start.
