Ja’Marr Chase could earn special place in history books vs. Titans

A week ago, Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase had a breakout game with 12 catches for 141 yards while moving all over formations and giving the Los Angeles Rams a ton of problems during a win.

And if Chase can do something similar, he’ll join some big names near the top of the history books in a special stat.

If Chase can come up with 10 catches in Tennessee, he’ll become tied as the third-fastest player in NFL history to reach 200 career receptions over just 33 games.

That would tie Jarvis Landry, another LSU wideout. Funnily enough, it would put him behind only LSU product Odell Beckham Jr. (30 games) and Michael Thomas (32) of the Saints all-time, too.

A fun note, if nothing else. More important to Chase and the Bengals is that a 10-catch showing would likely dramatically help along Joe Burrow on his injured calf, especially with Tee Higgins in a weird early-season slump.
