Ja’Marr Chase confronts what could be last game with Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd

Two of the big three wideouts for the Cincinnati Bengals are slated for free agency this summer.

That’s something that has weighed heavily on the minds of fans and people in the building around the team.

Ja’Marr Chase, the lone member of the big three still under contract, has thoughts about it, too.

Asked about this week being his last game with both Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins, Chase made it clear what he wants from the situation.

“They know where I want them,” Chase said, according to CLNS Media’s Mike Petraglia. “They know what I want. At the end of the day it’s what they want. I won’t hold anyone back from what they want. That’s not me letting them be the greatest they can be. I support anything they do. Those are my brothers. I love them to death.”

It’s a measured take from Chase, as anyone inside or outside should understand that retaining all three could be tough on a team trying to walk a salary cap tightrope.

Still, Chase went on to say he has hope that the team and Higgins can get something done. And of course, that he’d like to get an extension of his own over the summer when he first comes eligible.

As always, Chase was plenty candid on this front, which is refreshing to see from someone in his spot. It’s also pretty easy to imagine that fans agree with most of what he has to say as the team approaches this critical offseason.
