The newly retired J.J. Watt couldn’t stay away from football for long.
The former Texans and Cardinals defensive end announced Wednesday he’s joining CBS as an NFL analyst this fall, and he did so with some humor. Watt confused his followers at first by posting a video on Twitter and announcing his new job at CVS—the pharmacy. Then six minutes later, he posted a second video where he corrected the typo.
“Little pro tip for anyone out there starting a new job: don’t screw up the announcement,” Watt said. “It’s not a good way to start your first day on the job.”

Very excited to be joining the crew for a few Sunday’s this fall!! @NFLonCBS pic.twitter.com/TrF6PEzGAy
“I will be working at CBS this fall,” Watt continued.
Watt also poked some fun at his younger brothers, T.J. and Derek, who are both in the NFL, saying he’s looking forward to “having a global platform to make fun of my brothers on.”
Watt, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, is unquestionably one of the best players in the history of the league and there’s no reason why he won’t be just as good as an analyst.
