Ivan Fresneda agent sends 'ready' transfer message amid Liverpool links

Ivan Fresneda's agent has claimed the teenage star is 'ready' for a move to one of Europe's top clubs, with Liverpool one of several sides linked with his services.

The right-back, who turned 18 in September, has instantly become a fixture in Real Valladolid's team since making his La Liga debut in September. Such promise has seen the continent's top sides set on high alert over the defender, with AS naming Liverpool as one of several interested parties alongside the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Juventus.

With barely a handful of senior appearances under his belt, those interested parties may be mindful of taking a risk on Fresneda, but the player's agent insists he is ready to make the step up.

"He's having a great season and he has improved a lot,” Fresneda’s agent told TuttoJuve . “All the opponents find it difficult to face Fresneda. He is strong, fast, skilled in both phases and very good at providing assists to his teammates. He is only 18 years old, but he is already very mature for his age.

"There hasn't been any official offer at the moment, only indiscretions and rumours that follow one another. We're talking about Juventus, which without a shadow of a doubt is one of the most important clubs out there, but Fresneda is ready and up to par for a team like Juve."

Just last week, Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez told Futbol Fantasy that the club would be open to selling their star, should the right offer come in.

“We have to be prepared for what comes. We are clear about our policy as a club, what our president wants,” Sanchez explained. “In the end, we have to have the best competitive team possible. And that happens through two things. The first, and most important, is that the team performs so that it stays in La Liga.

“And, the second part which is being able to sell players; allowing the club to continue growing in the shortest possible time. So, if an interesting offer arrives for one of our players, we are always open to listening to it. But also with the intention of not weakening the team.”
