On this week’s Billboard Global 200, the charting company's semi-self-titled ranking of the songs that perform the best all around the world looking at sales and streaming data, ITZY returns to the tally and hits a new high with their latest single “In The Morning.” The new release opens at No. 34 on the current list, bringing them to the top 40 for the first time.

The track is the girl group’s second to hit the all-genre tally, and simply by returning to the roster at all, the superstars have made history among artists from their home country of South Korea.

ITZY is now just the fourth musical act of any kind from South Korea to hit the Billboard Global 200 more than once. Blackpink leads the way among all South Korean musical acts when looking at which names have placed the most tracks onto the Billboard Global 200. The quartet has now sent 10 different cuts to the list, with many of those coming from their debut full-length The Album, which arrived just a few weeks after Billboard introduced this new chart.

BTS come in a very close second place among South Korean musicians with the most Billboard Global 200 hits, as they’ve now scored nine winners on the ranking. The seven-member vocal band is sure to grab a tenth when their new single “Butter” arrives on the ranking in the coming weeks.

Aside from ITZY, Blackpink singer Rosé is the only other South Korean musical artist to hit the Billboard Global 200 more than once. After releasing her debut solo two-song single album R, the superstar placed both “Gone” and “On The Ground” on the roster, becoming the first soloist from the Asian nation to hit the tally with several tunes.

At least eight other musicians from South Korea, including one soloist—IU—as well as a number of groups—Aespa, TWICE, Stray Kids, Treasure, (G)I-dle, NCT and Pinkfong—have also appeared on the Billboard Global 200, but only once. Any of them could quickly score another worldwide smash, joining this illustrious group of beloved performers.
