ITVX Without Sin release date, full cast list, locations and how many episodes

Without Sin is the brand new drama from ITV. Starring Line of Duty's Vicky McClure the psychological thriller landed on the broadcaster's new platform, ITVX, on Wednesday, December 28.

The four-part drama, which was filmed in Nottingham, explores the relationship which develops between a grieving mother and the man she believes murdered her daughter.

Vicky McClure, who is also known for Broadchurch and Trigger Point, plays the role of grieving mother, Stella Tomlinson, whose 14-year-old daughter Maisy, is found dead at their family home with the bloodied, hooded figure of Charles Stone standing over her. Charles is played by Johnny Harris, who viewers will recognise from his roles in The Salisbury Poisonings, Medici, and Troy: Fall of a City.

Viewers will also recognise both Vicky and Johnny from This is England '86. Without Sin will see the two of them back on screens together a decade after working side by side for the first since 2010.

The drama was based in Nottingham, where Vicky McClure is from. Speaking about filming there, Vicky said: "Every city says it's all about the people and that’s certainly the case in Nottingham.

"I see the amazing talent that's here – even just the alumni from the Television Workshop – there's obviously something in it. Yet we don’t tend to shout about it.

"I want people to see what our city looks and feels like. People will get to know the history behind the Left Lion in the Market Square, the heritage of the market in the Victoria Centre: my granddad was a butcher and had a stall there.

"It's going now, but we managed to film a short scene there, which meant a lot to me, to make sure that those places and people aren't forgotten, to remember where you came from. The fact that I still live here and can now bring my work home is a massive deal to me.
