ITV4 The Chase: Viewers praise player dubbing them a 'machine' during final round

On Tuesday (August 23) we saw another episode of the popular quizzing show, The Chase with host Bradley Walsh ready to fore questions at the players.

Josh, Conal, Marjorie and Sarah-Jane all turned up in the hopes of taking on the Chaser hoping to go home with thousands of pounds in their pocket.

But not everyone made it back for the final round.

Taking to the stage in the latest episode to be aired was Josh, a 20-year-old who sadly didn't make it home despite scoring well in the first cash builder round by getting six questions right. Second up was Conal who also took to the table the same amount of £6,000 however sadly he didn't make it home either.

After being defeated, it was the two women who remained and both managed to get home to their relief.

Marjorie, a 68-year-old administrator managed to answer four questions correctly in the cash builder round with the final player, 32-year-old librarian Sarah-Jane, also getting home having taken home £6,000 to the pot.

Giving them a total of £10,000 to play for, the pair took on Chaser Anne Hegerty, also known as The Governess - or 'Frosty Knickers' to host Brad.

Despite doing well in the cash builder and head to head, as mentioned in the ECHO, it wasn't meant to be for the team as although they had a two question head start, the Chaser caught them with 19 seconds remaining having answered all 18 questions correctly.

But people at home noticed that during the final round one player was on fire throughout with one Twitter user pointing out: "Sarah-Jane was a machine. Marjorie had the sense to shut up until she knew something." Fans agreed as they took to Twitter.

One user said: "Sarah-Jane doing well on her todd".

Another added: "Wow Sarah Jane. Go girl #thechase."

"Great stuff Sarah-Jane! Hope they win now. #thechase" a third tweeted.
