ITV2 Love Island: When is the final, where to watch it and which couples are left?

Love Island 2023 has been just as chaotic as we were all hoping for, but sadly, all good things must come to an end.

The final episode of this season will air on Monday night (March 13) at 9pm on ITV2, and fans will have the chance to choose their winning couple. Currently still in the running for that £50k prize fund are Kai and Sanam, Ron and Lana, Tom and Samie, Will and Jessie, and Tanya and Shaq.

Before the grand finale, here's a recap of all the drama, couples, and notable challenges for this season so you can recap before choosing your winner.

The first episode

We were first introduced to this year's islanders way back in January, and fans saw Maya Jama hosting the show for the first time. As always, there was a bit of a bumpy ride forming the first couples, mostly with Kai coupling and recoupling a few times.

But in the end, the first episode saw Lana and Ron, Tanya and Shaq, Anna-May and Haris, Tanyel and Kai, and Olivia and Will become the first couples in the villa. Then, in a Love Island first, viewers were given the chance to choose which bombshell they wanted to enter the villa first.

To end the episode, 23-year-old semi-pro footballer Tom Clare entered the villa as the first bombshell of the season.

Big bombshells

Tom may have been the first bombshell, but he certainly wasn't the last. After a dramatic recoupling saw him choose Olivia and leave Will single, it was Zara and David who arrived together trying to turn heads.

David's attempts to woo Tanya away from Shaq proved useless though, and he was the first islander to be dumped from the villa. Then it was time for two Australian bombshells to land in the villa, as Jessie and Aaron made a splash.

In another Love Island first, the next bombshells, Ellie and Spencer, crashed a recoupling and got first dibs before the rest of the boys could choose the girl they wanted to couple up with. Things got even more dramatic when Ellie and Tom shared a secret kiss.

Then, Lana shocked fans and islanders when she chose to couple up with new bombshell Casey over Ron, but the show was stolen by Claudia as the next bombshell to arrive during the heart monitor challenge.

Then came the ultimate Love Island test, Casa Amor, which saw 12 new bombshells strut onto our screens. After Casa Amor the couples were Tanya and Martin, Sanam and Kai, Olivia and Maxwell, Samie and Tom, Jessie and Will, Claudia and Casey, and Lana and Ron, leaving Shaq single as he chose to stay loyal to Tanya.

After a movie night full or revelations, Rosie and Kenan arrived in the villa minutes before another recoupling.

Challenges

Love Island wouldn't be Love Island without the challenges, and this series has had everything from a ridiculous sports day to the dramatic movie night.

The Space Raunch challenge saw Will and Jessie have their first kiss on the show, as the girls donned silver spacesuits and leap out of a rocket before choosing a boy to share a kiss with. In Casa Amor, the much loved Raunchy Races challenge was back, which sees the two villas compete to complete a series of mini challenges first.

The challenges included one requiring the shortest girl in each villa to kiss the boy she fancies the most, which saw Tanya lock lips with Martin in Casa Amor. After Casa Amor, the Guessing Game challenge left Jessie with more doubts over her relationship with Will after his Casa kiss, as none of the boys chose their pair as the most compatible couple.

And, of course, there was Movie Night, which saw tensions resurface between Tanya and Shaq after Shaq accused Tanya of lying about her kiss with Martin, and Will and Jessie's relationship problems came to a head. This season also saw the return of the ranking challenge, where the islanders have to guess how the public have ranked them on different criteria.

As the islanders attempted to select the three couples to enter the most game playing couple category, Shaq suggested the public might think Ron asked Lana to be his girlfriend because he knew she was a popular contestant, which ruffled feathers.

Most recently, viewers have seen the couples take on the Baby challenge, and are awaiting the biggest challenge of them all, meeting each other's family members.
