Let's find out more about Grace series 3, who's in it, what it's about and when you can watch it.

When can you watch Grace series 3?

The brand new series of Grace airs on ITV1 at 8pm, Sundays, with the first episode going out on March 19. You can catch up with both new and previous episodes of Grace on ITVX.

Who's in the cast of Grace?

It's a great core cast led by veteran British actor, John Simm. John is known for his early roles in The Lakes, Human Traffic and 24 Hour Party People. John is perhaps best known, though, for his role as Sam Tyler in Life on Mars and he was The Master in Doctor Who.

Joining John in Grace as the rest of the detective team are Richie Campbell as DS Glenn Branson, Zoë Tapper as Cleo Morey, Craig Parkinson as DS Norman Potting and Laura Elphinstone as DS Bella Moy. Richie is a veteran of Top Boy, The Frankenstein Chronicles. Liar, Eve and Waterloo Road. You'll recognise Parkinson and Elphinstone from their roles in Line of Duty in which Craig Parkinson played bent cop, 'Dot' Cottan. Zoe Tapper has had roles in Mr Selfridge, Liar and Grantchester.

Welsh actress, Rakie Ayola plays big boss ACC Vosper, and you'll recognise her from The Pact, Anthony (for which she won a Bafta for her performance as Anthony Walker's mother).

Also appearing in this series is Grace's missing wife, Sandy, who is played by Downton Abbey, Unforgotten, Baptiste and Home Fires actress, Claire Clabraith.

What are the new episodes about?

As East Sussex police bid farewell to ACC Alison Vosper, the announcement of her replacement is not welcome news for Grace. Shaken by the recent sighting of Sandy, Roy attempts to get closer to the truth while trying to move forward with Cleo, as he is drawn into three sinister investigations. A chilling serial offender from Grace’s past, a road traffic accident which unleashes a web of vengeance and a shocking murder attempt on the Brighton music scene, all test Grace’s skill as past and present collide for Roy, forcing him to confront old memories and learn from previous mistakes.

How many episodes are there in Grace series 3?

There are three feature-length episodes (two hours long) of Grace airing this spring.

Where is Grace filmed?

As the show is set in Brighton, Grace is filmed around that area of Sussex. You'll see the Grade II listed Brighton Palace pleasure pier located in the city centre opposite the Old Steine. The South Downs outside the town have also been used in previous series of Grace for some gloomy scenes.

Scenes have also been filmed in Rottingdean and Burgess Hill.
