ITV viewers stumped by Durham filming location in Vera

Sundays are made so much better when we can spend an hour with DCI Vera Stanhope. Fans of the show love seeing some of the North East’s most beautiful spots, whether it’s the stunning Northumberland coast or Newcastle’s fantastic city centre.

But as Vera went in search of a witness seated in a restaurant, fans were amazed by the gorgeous building. Stumped by its location, viewers turned to the internet to ask fellow superfans and north east locals to help identify the setting.

“Vera is in a beautiful building with a round entrance hall and restaurant with marble walls. It has us stumped, does anyone know what building it is?” asked Anne in a Newcastle photographs Facebook group.
