ITV viewers were left angered at the end of Lorraine on Tuesday morning as a singer paying tribute to the Queen was abruptly cut off. Lorraine Kelly returned to screens today (September 13) after her show was pulled off air following the tragic news of Queen Elizabeth II's death.
After the Queen's passing was announced on Thursday evening (September 8), ITV completely revised their planned TV schedule for the upcoming days to make way for special news covering honouring Her Majesty. This meant that Lorraine was off-air on both Friday (September 9) and Monday (September 12) in replacement for programmes dedicated to King Charles III and the late Queen.
Lorraine Kelly returned for the first time on Tuesday and began the show by paying tribute to the Queen. The presenter invited a series of special guests onto the hour-long show which included former Prime Minister Theresa May, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi and a tribute performance from a security guard who had recently gone viral for her singing.

Anna Lapwood, an organist, conductor and TV and radio broadcaster, sat with an organ in London Bridge station to play some songs as a tribute to the late monarch.
But tube station security guard Marcella de Gale, who is also a trained opera singer, soon stunned passengers as she joined in and asked her to play a famous soprano piece Lascia ch'io pianga by Handel.
The video was shared on social media by Anna and has since racked up millions of views. The pair, who just days ago were strangers, appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday.
Anna told Lorraine said: "I often stop off at this little organ and I always put my phone there and film whatever happens and capture people interacting with it. And then Marcella comes up and I'm like, 'Your voice! This is incredible!."
They then went on to perform their beautiful rendition together, but whilst viewers were enjoying the performance, it soon came to a sudden halt.
The singer and organist were abruptly cut off mid performance and the screen went black, before This Morning's intro was then played by a brass band.
Shocked and confused, ITV viewers took to Twitter to air their thoughts.
@GinaLouLoves tweeted: "I’m fuming at @thismorning for cutting off that beautiful singer on @reallorraine just. I could listen to her all day."
@Jennybriss asked: "Why did you cut off the beautiful singing and why didn’t you tell us the name of the song? #ThisMorning."
