ITV Tipping Point viewers to notice huge change to show

ITV Tipping Point viewers will notice a huge change to the show from today (Monday).

The programme usually sees host Ben Shephard accompany four hopefuls as they take on a larger than life version of the old school coin fall machine in the hopes of winning more than just a couple of pounds. With multiple rounds, contestants must answer questions correctly in order to drop a coin and if it falls successfully, their cash prize rises.

The show celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year after launching on ITV back in 2012. Since then, the Tipping Point has gone on to produce a celebrity spin-off, Lucky Stars, featuring the likes of I'm A Celeb winner Joe Swash and Loose Women's Denise Welch.

A brand new series kick starts on Monday (April 11) to celebrate its 10th birthday. And with the new season comes a big change.

Ben Shephard appeared on Monday's instalment of This Morning where he chatted to stand-in hosts Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson about what viewers can expect.

He said: "There's a big change. There'll be three contestants on each show, instead of four." It remains to be seen how this will impact the way the rounds are played, as one contestant usually leaves after each set of questions and answers.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
