ITV Tipping Point fans slam 'impossible' question as players squirm

Tipping Point viewers were not happy with a question during Tuesday's show.

Ben Shephard welcomed four new players on this edition of the ITV programme. Charlee, Granville, Caitlyin and Martin were testing their wits against each-other to win big money from the arcade-style machine.

Charlee, from Weston-super-Mare, and Geordie lad Martin and put in an impressive performance to progress to the final two. However, both were left stumped on one particular question.

Fans watching at home were also left struggling to find the right answer, as Ben asked: "'In the children's tongue twister, who bought a bit of butter that was bitter?'". Martin looked perplexed.

He said: "I only know 'Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper", before adding: "That's the first time I've ever said that right!" Inspired by Martin's comments, Charlee decided to hazard a guess with "Peter Piper".

Viewers were also thrown by the question. Taking to Twitter, Quacker Jack said: "I've never heard of Betty Botter!".

M Heanes said: "Who is Betty Botter? Never heard of that one". Michelle W said: "Who tf is Betty Botter? That's basically impossible".

Thankfully for Martin, he made it to the final and bagged an impressive £3,450 to take home.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
