ITV Tipping Point fans fume after seeing episode spoilers

Tipping Point fans were left unhappy on Thursday after spoilers were shared on social media.

This week's penultimate instalment of the popular ITV game show saw host Ben Shephard welcome the latest contestants to the studio. Jilly, Connor, Marcus and Dee were hoping to win some cash as they went up against the arcade-style machine.

The aim of the game is to answer general knowledge questions correctly to win coins which you can then use on the Tipping Point machine. Contestants then drop the coins into the machine to knock counters off the shelf and potentially win thousands of pounds at the end of the game.

A recent format change saw the number of players reduced from four to three, however Thursday's episode included four contestants. Many watching at home took to Twitter as they realised it was a repeat.

As the show aired, a number of viewers hit out, as some who had seen the original episode were sharing the programme's outcome on social media, ahead of it playing out on TV. The tweets included who won, and what happened in the final round.

Victoria said: "Why would you tweet spoilers? [roll-eyes emoji], while David Fisher said: "Don't be a spoiler idiot". Jean O'Loan said: "Can’t stand people who have seen this one before and tell who got to the final. Have just blocked one such idiot."

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub - except this week when there is a schedule shakeup
