ITV This Morning: Where is Phillip Schofield as Alison Hammond fills in?

Viewers tuning in to Monday’s, March 27 edition of This Morning were left confused as host Phillip Schofield was missing from the show. The 60-year-old presenter would usually present the show Monday-Thursday with Holly Willoughby. The news comes after last week he 'stormed' off the show - read more about that here.

Alison Hammond, who usually hosts the show on a Friday alongside Dermot O’Leary, accompanied Holly on Monday morning’s show. This was met with a positive response on social media with one person writing: “Alison Hammond, winner, winner chicken dinner this week.”

Phillip’s absence from This Morning comes as somewhat of a surprise as the presenter, who has worked on the programme since 2002, would usually only miss an episode during half-term week or the summer. For the latest TV and showbiz news sign up to our newsletter here.

But where is Phillip this week? Here’s everything you need to know.

Fans worrying that the silver fox has left the show should calm down as Holly quickly clarified why her presenting partner was missing from This Morning. Sat alongside Alison, she opened Monday’s show by saying: “Phillip is having the week off so all the adults have left the building.”

She then added: “Alison’s come to stay!” and the pair cheered. Holly then asked Alison: “Is it weird being here on a Monday?” and she replied: “It’s quite nice actually, start the week off.”

Phillip will return to the show next week. This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am.
