This Morning viewers were left wondering if the show was trying to trick them on Halloween as they pulled out all the stops with a special show. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield transformed into Wednesday Addams and Uncle Fester as the ITV daytime show's family of stars became another iconic clan - the Addams Family.
They were joined by Morticia Addams (Alison Hammond), Cousin Knit (Gyles Brandreth), Gomez (Steve Wilson), Kitty Kat (Matthew Wright), Pugsley Addams (Gok Wan) and Long John Addams (Dermot O’Leary) on the special edition of the show, full of spooky recipes, Halloween fashion, advice and a whole load of haunted happenings.
But things appeared to take a turn when Brocarde, a woman who’s marrying the love of her life today (October 31), was visited on set by Victoria soldier Edwardo, who wreaked havoc on set, even potentially putting the afternoon wedding in jeopardy.
Brocarde previously appeared on the ITV show to reveal she was in love with her boyfriend, who just so happens to be a ghost. But as she appeared to chat about her wedding day, a spooked Holly, 41, got more than she expected as Edwardo apparently made an appearance in the studio.
During their chat, Brocarde suddenly gasped as her black headband fell off her head leaving Holly visibly terrified. "What?! What, what, what, what, what is it?" Holly screamed before grabbing a pillow and hiding behind it in fear. Brocarde then revealed: "He's here" as Phillip replied: "Well I should hope so, it's your wedding day!"
Holly then shrieked: "Where is he? What's happening?" as Brocarde pointed to their sofa, saying: "Can't you see him?" Phillip replied: No, definitely not!" before he went into his Uncle Fester character, adding: "Definitely not here and you'd think I would be able to see him..."
But Edwardo didn’t take too kindly to Phillip, 60. "He doesn't like you!" Brocarde bluntly said as Phillip responded: "He doesn't like me? No, well, that's fair enough." Brocarde added: "I'm sorry, he's a bit rude...." to which Phillip quipped: "Don't worry, I'm not marrying him!"
When the host asked Edwardo to move a script or show a sign he was there, Brocarde said: "I hope he’s not going to leave me at the altar after this."
And This Morning fans were left pretty perplexed, wondering if it was all real or not. @Gazspurs46VR tweeted: "This is a wind up right fair play to Holly & Phil there #ThisMorning." @bIuemason commented: "Nah because this genuinely has to be a joke at this point. there's no way shes this serious #thismorning."
@KatieRay704704 asked at that same moment: "What on Earth am I watching? #thismorning." @marinda73 posted: "Getting married to a ghost!!! I feel like I’m watching the Jerry Springer show! #ThisMorning." @TheIntoxicatedJ added: "How are they are doing a serious interview about this? #ThisMorning."
