This Morning viewers bashed an "exploitive" segment on the ITV show today.
Consumer journalist Alice Beer was on talking to Rochelle Humes and Vernon Kay about the cost of living crisis. She offered some of her best tips for households to save a few quid on their utility bills.
She said we have to take the little wins. For example, switching devices off standby only saves around £2 per year per device. However, turning multiple devices off could save you considerably more.

She also touched on the fact that cooking a roast will soon cost around £5 per meal. As an alternative, Alice suggested cooking potatoes in the microwave rather than in the oven as it is considerably cheaper. She said: "Those little things, like only filling the kettle with how much you need, can help you to save up to around £150 a year."
However fans on Twitter bashed the money saving tips as they said it felt like "being spoken down to". Dave said: "Alice, no one appreciates your stupid advice, it’s like being spoken down to #thismorning."
Lee said: "So here is Alice Beer telling us some money saving tips I wonder if she thinks the nation doesn’t have any common sense #ThisMorning."
Another user said: "Watching Alice and presenters telling us how to save a £1 here and there is beyond cringe. Kate Lawler promoting a comp to win gas bills paid; it’s insulting, exploitive and ill judged. People on low budgets don’t need Alice to tell us how to save a £1.We do it daily! #ThisMorning."
Last week, co-host Rylan Clark made a passionate speech on the morning talk show about how the cost of living crisis is affecting everyone - including celebrities.
He said: "I was just looking on Twitter and seeing what people are saying about this energy crisis. I should just say as well, and this is a very personal feeling but I'm going to say it.
"You get people sitting there going 'what do you know, you've got money, you're a TV presenter'. I'll just be honest with you, I've also got a mum, I've also got a brother, I've also got a family, yeah?"
He added: "I'm very lucky that I do my job and I have been working in this industry for 10 years now and I've been very clever with my money. But this is affecting everyone.
"This is going to affect every single person we know and it is all very relative and we are going to ask those questions. I just think it is absolutely disgusting what is going on, I really really do."
