ITV This Morning viewers call Holly and Phil to 'make it stop' just minutes into show opener

ITV’s This Morning kicked off the show on Thursday, May 4 show in unique fashion as it celebrated Star Wars Day. “May the fourth be with you”. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby opened the episode by introducing a group of breakdancing stormtroopers.

"And to celebrate we're joined by the best dancing stormtroopers in the galaxy," Holly said as she welcomed the dancers. Phillip then added: "They've taken a break from patrolling the empire to join us in the studio."

Boogie Storm, as they were called, entered the studio and began dancing to a selection of pop hits. But it seems viewers weren't so captivated by them. Over on social media several people shared their thoughts on the wild introduction to the show.

Viewers were quick to comment on the stormtroopers' cod-pieces (ITV)

"Please make it stop!" one person tweeted. A second echoed: "Dancing stormtroopers? think I've seen it all now.”

A third said: "Why am I finding the dancing stormtroopers really erotic?” And a fourth added: "I haven't slept for 48 hours, so can someone tell me if I'm hallucinating watching storm troopers dancing Diversity style?”

Elsewhere, viewers couldn’t help but notice the stormtroopers’ attire. "The wobbly cod-pieces are very distracting,” a further person commented. What did you think of the performance? Let us know in the comments.
