This Morning tried something slightly new today but it's fair to say it left some viewers completely baffled. Friday's show saw Alison Hammond return to hosting duties alongside Dermot O'Leary after presenting Thursday's edition of the ITV daytime show alongside Phillip Schofield while Holly Willoughby was off due to Covid.
Dermot started the show by telling Alison he was a bit jealous after witnessing her and Phillip ticking into a pint of Guinness with their faces on as they celebrated St Patrick's Day in the studio.

But Alison tried to make it up to him by offering up half a pint of the traditional Irish beverage which he took a sip of before getting on with the show.
And one segment during the last This Morning of the week saw a brand new fashion segment with a new face who just so happens to also be Dermot's stylist Tom Stubbs.
The fashion segment came after a VT which showed Aliso, 47, heading off to see celebrity chef, and regular in the daytime's show kitchen, James Martin as he performed one of the shows of his tour in Birmingham.
But when the cameras returned to the studio for Alison and Dermot, 48, to reveal what was happening next, things look a bit different and viewers found themselves wondering if they needed to adjust their screens.
Many were pointing out the sudden change in the colour of their screens and noticed Alison's bright blazer jacket wasn't so fluorescent anymore.

@mostlystupid added: "Anyone else get the feeling they've just turned down the saturation on This Morning? Alison's suit was day-glo neon earlier."
Well, as other viewers rightly pointed out, it was all to go with the theme of the segment as it was all inspired by BBC One hit Peaky Blinders.
"I think you could use more colour Tom, not gonna lie," Alison joked at the start of the segment as Dermot praised his stylist for dressing him 'so well'.
Tom was then soon showing viewers how to get the Shelby family look with plenty of classic suits, longline overcoats and bakerboy hats.
