ITV This Morning told to 'get real' as angry viewers complain over costly segment

This Morning was in hot water with viewers over one of its latest segments.

On Friday's show, Alison Hammond was joined by Josie Gibson as her usual co-host Dermot O'Leary took a day off.

It is the first time the pair have hosted the programme together after Josie made her main presenting debut last year.

During the latest show, Alison and Josie were given a performance by Tony Hadley before he chatted to them on the ITV daytime show's famous sofa.

They also played a brand new, head-to-head game called 'What the Hack!?' hosted by BBC Radio 1 star Matt Edmonson.

They had to guess which object matches which life hack in This Morning's one-off game.

As well as all that, there was food from Clodagh McKenna in the kitchen and the latest pet advice from resident vet Dr Scott.

But it was a water tasting segment that really angered viewers.

During the tasting segment, Josie and Alison were joined by a 'water sommelier'.

He discussed different types of water with the pair as they tasted a few of the options.

But as they chatted about one, which Alison described as "delicious" and "very smooth", the hosts were shocked to discover the water was £130 a bottle.

The water sommelier defended the high price tag, commenting: "It's not for hydration. It's for the experience. It's the way it's harvested. It takes many days by boat, filled by hand from a melting glacier.

"It's a beautiful back story. You'll fall in love with it."

This Morning viewers, however, were soon taking to social media to have their say.

@dollynoocat tweeted: "£130 for a bottle of water! Need your head looked at if you would pay that. Water from the tap is the best #ThisMorning."
