One half of ITV's This Morning's presenting team has been missing from the show since Monday. Holly Willoughby has been co-hosting with various counterparts as Phillip Schofield is noticeable absent. Now, it has been confirmed that neither Phillip or Holly Willoughby will be returning to the show for weeks.
Phillip Schofield, who has been off the show since the beginning of the week, isn't expected to return anytime soon. Co-host Holly Willoughby has appeared alongside various stand-in presenters this week including Alison Hammond on Monday and Tuesday, and Joel Dommett co-hosting on Wednesday and Thursday.
At the end of the show on Thursday, March 30, Holly announced that she would be saying goodbye to viewers for a couple of weeks too. Show regulars, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, will be replacing her and Phillip on the morning sofa.

It isn't unusual for Holly and Phil to be off the show during Easter as they take a break for a two-week Easter holiday. Alison and Dermot will be standing in for the pair during their annual leave - the duo usually present the popular programme on Friday's.
Programme makers announced to viewers that Alison and Dermot would be at the helm from Monday, April 3, with Holly later confirming on the show that she would not be returning for a "few weeks". She told Thursday's co-presenter: "Well Joel Dommett, you have been amazing, have you enjoyed it?"
Joel replied: "It has been an absolute dream. Thank you for showing me everything these last few days."
Holly waved to the camera and told viewers: "I'm off for Easter, I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Bye!"
On Wednesday, Holly posted to Instagram a snap of her and Joel. She wrote: "Look who has come to play!!! @joeldommett @thismorning" alongside a love heart emoji. Alison Hammond replied: "I’m here for this".
Fans of the show soon passed their opinions of the change of hosts this week too. One fan replying to Holly's post wrote: "Where b Phil [sad face emoji] Like Alison, Like Joel but Holy n Phil are like Roast Beef n Yorkie puds".
Another added: "So excited!!! Had a ball the last two days with Alison so can’t wait to see how it goes with Joel."
