ITV This Morning's Phil Vickery throws 'shade' at Dermot O'Leary after 'naughty' segment

This Morning viewers think Phil Vickery threw 'shade' at Dermot O'Leary during his latest appearance on the show. The celebrity chef joined the presenter and his co-host Alison Hammond on the ITV daytime programme on Friday (June 17).

In an unusual move, the hosts took the entire show outside thanks to the heatwave in some parts of the country, particularly down south where temperatures are expected to reach 34 degrees making it the hottest day of the year so far.

The show opened with an uplifting performance from the cast of Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical outside the television centre before Alison and Dermot cracked on with the show. "We're also going to be enjoying the sunshine with them all morning because we've taken the entire show outside," Dermot said.

Replying to Dermot, Alison commented: "It's fantastic because apparently temperatures are expected to rise to above thirty degrees [celsius] in some parts of the UK today." She then added: "So, we've bought the sofa outside. We've planned the most amazing show outside. This is al fresco. I've got my own coolbox. This is going to be wonderful."

They were joined on the last edition of the programme of the week by Phil who was on hand to show viewers how to make a savoury picnic loaf to jazz up your outdoor dining before later returning with three delicious home-made frozen treats.

As they got on with the segment, the hosts shared what their plans were for the hot weather. While Alison was planning to cook up a storm on her barbeque grill Phil then asked Dermot what he was planning and he made a diving motion, indicating he was going to go swimming.

"I was down at the ponds yesterday," the 49-year-old said before Alison asked if he was going to go today. Phil then quipped: "Does your butler bring you your drinks or...?" much to Dermot's surprised. He then recovered to pop back: "I've given him Friday off. It's an absolute disaster," to which one This Morning viewer commented on social media: "Butler oh the shade Phil the shade!"

It came after a 'naughty' segment on the show left This Morning viewers flocking to Twitter to share their surprise. During today's show (Friday) Alison was seen in a pre-recorded segment which saw her visit the Cerne Giant in Dorset. The supposed 'fertility giant' depicts an ancient naked figure which is sculpted in chalk above Cerne Abbas and rumoured to have baby-making properties.

But as the ITV programme showed the complete chalk figure, fans couldn't help but comment. @MattWhite92 joked: "@thismorning lovely family friendly morning TV #ThisMorning," alongside a picture of his TV screen featuring the moment itself. @Queen_Vix88 tweeted "Showing willys on daytime tv #ThisMorning."

Afterwards, Alison commented on the segment while back in the This Morning outside studio with her co-host Dermot as she admitted: "It's a bit naughty isn't it?"
