Josie Gibson has told fans of a "brutal" restaurant experience she had while filming for This Morning. This week, viewers of the ITV daytime show have seen the presenter travel across the country, as she was challenged to visit different theme parks and try out the most thrilling rides.
As well as enduring Alton Towers' Nemisis live on the show, the 37-year-old was given various challenges by this week's hosts, Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters. Such tasks included being asked to name different types of ice creams and to name members of the This Morning team.
Some viewers were left confused by the segments and fumed that Josie had been axed from the main presenting role, which she has recently done alongside Craig Doyle and Vernon Kay. But the 37-year-old appears to be having fun and in a break from her rollercoaster riding, she headed to Camp Bestival during last Thursday's show, reports Manchester Evening News.
However, before heading to the family festival, This Morning had another job for her and they sent her off to the "rudest" restaurant they could possibly find. Some may have heard of the new Karen's Diner hitting the UK after success in Australia. The restaurant, which has sites in Greater Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham, prides itself on rude staff and terrible service.
In return, customers are expected to "give it the full Karen", a nod to the modern slang re-interpretation of the name Karen as a self-entitled rude person. And it looks like Josie may have visited the Greater Manchester branch in Prestwich to experience it for herself while being filmed for the popular ITV show.
Posing in front of a pink 'Karen's' sign, alongside a retro phone and in front of burger-printed wallpaper, Josie stuck her fingers up for the camera as she penned: "I then visited the one and only @karensdinerofficial what a place!!! I've never been so insulted in my life, it was brutal, but weirdly my humiliated self really enjoyed it! The food was good the service was astonishingly bad and it was EPIC LOL."
And she did have a bit of a message for her bosses who will now have to get to work on what she filmed. "We made a VT for This Morning and all I can say is good luck to our editors LOL."
Josie's visit comes after everyone's favourite Manc Gogglebox family, the Malones, were given the full-on sweary treatment at Greater Manchester's "rudest restaurant". The Malones headed to the most talked-about restaurant opening of the year, and Tom Malone Jr filmed their visit and uploaded it to TikTok.
The dancer and reality star took his mum Julie and dad Tom Sr to the very bold new diner based on Prestwich 's Bury New Road. And dad Tom is shown looking at his son and saying: "Where have you brought me? The ***** this ****ing thing?" as the insults from waiting staff began to unfold.
