ITV This Morning's Josie Gibson 'sad' as she issues co-star update moments into show

This Morning's Josie Gibson was "sad" as she issued an update on her co-star moments into today's show.

The presenter fronted Thursday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme alongside Craig Doyle. The broadcasters hosted a jam packed episode which included interviews with Sally Lindsay.

However, Josie started the episode on a downbeat note as she revealed it was Craig's last day hosting before the festive break. She said: "We have only three days til Christmas but it is a very sad day... it is really sad..."

She added: "It is Craig's last day. He is going home, all the way to Ireland, never to be seen again." Craig added: "If anybody is on the M4 today, at about 12.30pm, get off the road because I am heading to the airport!"

The presenter confirmed at the end of the show that Andi Peters will be joining Josie on tomorrow's episode. Josie travelled to Lapland on an emotional segment of today's festive themed show.

Fans following the programme on Twitter took to the comments to praise the host.

Crystal said: "Josie is so wholesome"

Nathalie posted : "I’d love Craig and Josie to be permanent fixtures on This Morning. They work so well together and Josie is just lovely and genuine."

Tash tweeted: "So lovely to see this side of Josie, gorgeous son too"
