ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby taken aback as Will Mellor gives her 'demonstration' of Strictly moves

Holly Willoughby was almost lost for words as Will Mellor gave her a sneak peek at his upcoming moves as he appeared on This Morning. The actor was on the ITV daytime show on Thursday (October 27) to chat to Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield alongside his Strictly Come Dancing partner Nancy Xu.

Will and Nancy will perform a Cha Cha to the Tom Jones classic, Mama Told Me Not to Come, while dressed as mummies when the hit BBC One show returns to screens for its Halloween special on Saturday night. The pair have been wowing the judges and fans with their moves.

Will, who has more recently starred as out-and-out baddie Harvey Gaskell in Coronation Street, got off to an incredible start in the competition, winning over the judges and viewers with his snake hips and intense acting skills. He later got viewers hot under the collar when he portrayed Patrick Swayze during the show's annual movie week.

But the 46-year-old hit a stumbling block during week three of the contest when he was struck down with a bug. Will and Nancy had very little time to rehearse his rumba, a notoriously difficult dance for the show's celebs and still performed in the live show with the flu. Will, who was asleep in his dressing room before he went on stage for that performance, scored just 23 points, his lowest score of the series, for his rumba to The Joker And The Queen by Ed Sheeran featuring Taylor Swift.

However, he returned with a bang last weekend as they channeled the drama of Line Of Duty in their Viennese waltz as they performed to the show’s end credit theme to secure their 32 points during Strictly's BBC centenary special. It left them near the top of the leaderboard, just behind top scorers Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin.

Ahead of his and Nancy's appearance on the sofa alongside Holly and Phillip, the Strictly dance couple were sitting in the show's on-set green room. After returning from an ad break, the hosting duo could be seen sat in the kitchen. The pair giggled as they returned to air and wasted no time in revealing all.

With a cheeky glint in her eye, Holly said: "Well, well well... Will Mellor has just given me a sneak peek." As the camera panned to show a giggling Will and Nancy, Phillip explained: "There was a Strictly chat going on with Will and it ended up... thrusting," before Holly interjected: "He was demonstrating over there."

The 41-year-old then added: "I don't know what to say... it was very good!" Phillip then joked about Will's impressive hips before officially teasing his and Nancy's appearance on the show. Following a stint in the kitchen with Juliet Sear who was on hand with some Halloween-themed foodie creations, it was time to chat to Will and Nancy.

And Holly enthusiastically spoke to Will about his portrayal of Patrick Swayze a few weeks ago after they performed the American Smooth to Cry To Me from hit 1987 movie, Dirty Dancing. And it wasn't long before Will was giving another demonstration after Holly said her favourite bit from the routine was a trick he did with his loose hips.

But the presenter and mum-of-three was soon left mortified when she thought she accidentally revealed a secret about Will and Nancy's upcoming routine. She said: "I'm not going to ask who you are because I think you're keeping that under wraps."

Will erupted in hysterics as he shot back: "Did you mean that?" thinking she had perfectly segued into a conversation about their next performance. But Holly panicked thinking she had spoiled the surprise until Two Pints of Lager star Will confirmed: "We're mummies."

And it wasn't just Holly who was gushing over Will and Nancy as This Morning viewers were also taking to social media. @SallyPrice4 tweeted: "Love Will Mellor to bits...gorgeous fella...he's got #Strictly in the bag Xxxxx #ThisMorning."

@Flat__l1ned posted: "@thismorning Love watching the great dance pairing, Will and Nancy x #Strictly #ThisMorning." @Mofoman360 added: "I absolutely love Will and Nancy I think that they might just win I want Hamza to win but these two will be close #ThisMorning #Strictly."
