ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby hits out at Strictly Come Dancing result as Kaye Adams returns to Loose Women

Holly Willoughby made her feelings about the first Strictly Come Dancing elimination known as she spoke to Kaye Adams during the latest edition of This Morning. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (October 4) alongside Phillip Schofield.

And as usual, towards the latter part of the show, the duo checked in with the Loose Women panel so they could tease what was to come on the lunchtime show. As they began their link to the neighboring ITV studio, Holly and Phillip realised it was Kaye they were briefly handing over to.

It is the first time she has been back anchoring Loose Women since she was the first celebrity to be booted from the Strictly ballroom on Sunday night. "It's time to see what the Loose ladies are chatting about," Phillip said just as he got a glimpse of who it was on the panel.

"Oh it's Kaye!" the 60-year-old TV star exclaimed as he started applauding and added: "We thought you were amazing!" Holly, 41, then interjected and said: "Kaye, I'm gutted for you!"

The mum-of-three then added: "I couldn't believe what I was seeing when you were in the bottom two. I'm so sorry! You were amazing." Kaye then replied: "Aw, thank you very much, Holly. But there we go, them's the breaks. You pick yourself up and you get on. It [Strictly] was great fun."

"You were incredible," Holly said and then added. "We're proud of you," before Kaye took over to do her link. Holly shared her support for Kaye during week one of the BBC One dance contest last month. After the presenter and her professional partner Kai Widdrington danced the tango to Voulez-Vous by Abba, Holly pointed out Kaye's likeness to the dancing lady emoji in her flowing red dress.

"G'wan @kayeadamsofficial," she applauded alongside a photo of Kaye and Kai on her TV screen posted on her Instagram Story. "This emoji was made for you." Holly posted the bolstering message with a big red heart emoji.

Later, on Loose Women, Kaye reflected on her short Strictly journey. Coleen Nolan welcomed her co-star back onto the panel before showing clips of her time on the dance floor, alongside Kai. After the clips played Coleen hugged her friend as she said: "I was so proud of you". Kaye replied: "I was gutted because I tried my very very best. Sometimes you don't get the outcome in life that you want but that happens."

The disappointed star added: "I blew it in the dance off and I own that. I blanked. It was such a long day and I was so exhausted." Speaking of how being eliminated from the hit TV competition made her feel, Kaye said: "You think 'people hate me, people hate me'."

But her fellow panelists repeatedly quickly told her the opposite, sharing how proud of her they were. Janet Street-Porter said: "Don't beat yourself up for it," to which Kaye replied: "Thanks for that." However, they did later wind her up as the iconic Bros song, When Will I Be Famous, played out in the studio.

"You're really rubbing it in now girls," Kaye commented as her co-stars danced and sang along to the iconic track. And it was clearly a bit of a dig as it was Matt Goss who Kaye faced in the dreaded dance off and ultimately lost her place on Strictly Come Dancing too.
